Embriodery stitch guide...8

Bullion Knot

Uses: Decorative dots, leaves, plants

Boolean knot is very similar to French knot, but once you loop the thread around the needle, it produces a knot worm that is bitten.
- Create back stitch, Boolean knot length required
- Bring the needle out at 1, but don't bring it out the entire way.
- Twist the thread around the needle point, adjusting the length of the back stitch as many times as needed.
- Hold the left thumb in the coiled thread, rotate the needle 1 back and sert in the same position again. Pull the thread until the Boolean knot is flat.

Colonial Knot

Uses: Use alone as decorative accents, or stitch together to create lines and fill shapes.
- Bring the essentials through the fabric and tighten the thread by creating a figure 8 around the needle on the top and the back.
- Insert the needle sert through the fabric, closer to where it first came up, but not to the same hole. Carefully pull the thread until a knot is formed, then push the needle back and pull the thread.
Tip:
- If you want something larger and higher knot, use a French knot instead.

Star Stitch

Uses: One-row decorative accents to limit, spread the flowers randomly to fill in the gaps, or stitch together to fill the cube.
- Starting at the top, bring the index to 1 and bottom to 2.
- Bring the needle to 3 and bottom 2.
- Continue stitching clockwise until you have 8 evenly placed stitches to create the star.
Tip:
- To create an eyelet effect, tighten the tension on each stitch to create an opening in the center. This technique even works well in clothing.
