  • The baby embroidery was found back in Iran on the 17th, which was brought to India during the Mughal rule. It is known that a queen of the Mughals encouraged this industry.
  • It began with decorating fabrics through reflective metal pieces like mica, tin or silver. Over time, pieces of glass began to be used. Thin bubbles of glass were blown for this purpose and have then been cut into small pieces. At present, the machine is made of glass with silver coating on the backside, readily available in stores for cutting of desired shapes and sizes and for decoration of fabrics. Sometimes mica or hand-blowing glass, is used as an alternative.
