Originally, Pistil Stitch is known as Long French Knot, a French knot that was made with one foot. This is a decorative stitch. We can also say that it is a motif stitch that can be used to create flower pistils or similar looking patterns. There is not much hassle in sewing pistol and this is just a variation of the French knot.
Bring the needle through the fabric. Wrap the thread around the needle twice as shown.
Pull the long end of the thread in the other hand, as you would when doing the French knot. It holds the wrap securely on the needle. Put the index through the other end, say in point B you will finish a pistol stitch.

10) Beading stitches
Here are some simple tips on successfully working putty on fabric.
- It is best to use nylon or silk bidding thread for the embroidery. Cotton thread is especially prone to breakage when exposed to sharp edges of some beads.
