Step 1: Draw a design or print my free download.
Start drawing designs on very thin paper pieces (tracing paper works great for this). Or print the downloadable face design on thin paper.
Step 2: Cut the design around.
Next, cut out some of the space around the design, but not too much so that you have to have a large area for sewing around.
Step 3: Clip pin paper.
Then pin the paper into the garment you want to embroider, where you want the design to go.
Again this is another moment where using tracing paper for design will be useful as you can see it through pockets, cells etc. to position the design.
Step 4: Thread the needles and tie the ends.
Thread an index with Embroidered Floss and then double or triple knot the end of a long piece of that floss (make it longer than you need and double the width if you want a bolder / thicker line of choice).
