The hoop framing method not only works effectively and looks good to hang on the wall, but it is also easy and affordable.
There are several techniques for framing a hoop and this tutorial shows just one of the options. This version works well for covering the back of your work and for labeling your embroidery and / or creating a label. This is especially good when you are making a hoop for a gift, as it looks more finished and professional.
This technique is not limited to embroidery. It will work with most needlework, but it is an option to frame quilt squares or plain fabric that has a print that you would like to see feature.
To finish off your frame, try drawing a hoop or adding another decoration. And for the classic look, use a vintage embroidered hoop.
